How to Backup Your Firefox Data (Favorites, Add-ons, Passwords,...)

Mozilla Firefox provides you the synchronization feature, which means that you back up your favorite sites, add-ons, posts and passwords, all this Firefox can keeps it a safe place. You can restore your data easily after formatting your PC or changing it or any other reason.

Want to know how? Follow these steps...


1- Go to Tools then Options.




2- Go to Sync tab then click on Set Up Firefox Sync.




3- Click on Create a New Account.





4- Type your account details: 
Email Address, PasswordAgreement and Captcha code. Beware of losing this data.




5- Choose the data you want to back up, I advise you to save all the data.




6- Back up complete, close the window.






7- Now the most important step, go to Tools then Options then Sync tab. Click on Manage Account then choose My Recovery Key.




8- From this window save Your Recovery Key. Type it on a paper or click on Save to save it in your PC.




9- Choose the location to save the HTML file which contain the recovery key.
Remember, save the email, the password and the recovery key and do not forget them.

Now we will explain how to recover your Firefox data after formatting or changing your PC.

10-  Go to Tools then Options then Sync tab. Click on Set Up Firefox Sync.





11- Click on I Have an Account.




12- Click on I don't have the device with me.





14- Fill in the data: Your Email, Password and Recovery Key.

 



15- Choose the data you will restore.

 



16- The task is completed, go to your data and check it.
